Brighten Your Teeth for a Rejuvenated Smile

Comparison of before and after teeth whiteningTeeth whitening is a fast and simple way to dramatically improve your smile. Whiter teeth can give you a more youthful appearance and boost your self-confidence.

We provide professional teeth whitening using two of the most powerful in-office whitening systems available—the KöR® Whitening Deep Bleaching™ System and Zoom! professional whitening. These systems produce fast and long-lasting results. They also cause little to no sensitivity and are safe for your teeth and gums.

We also provide KöR and Zoom! take-home whitening kits with customized bleaching trays so you can whiten your teeth conveniently at home, on your own schedule. Our doctors can recommend which in-office and/or take-home whitening system will best suit your personal needs and budget.

How teeth lose their whiteness

Tooth enamel is porous. Staining and coloring elements in food and tobacco can penetrate the enamel far below the surface. Certain medications can also affect the enamel’s color and clarity. Aging itself can dull your teeth and darken them. Teeth can become yellowed, stained or darkened over time from any one of these sources, causing self-consciousness when smiling.

Why Should You Get Your Teeth Whitened By a Professional?

There are many teeth whitening products and services available outside the dental office, such as whitening at mall kiosk stations and over-the-counter whitening kits. However, the whitening formulas available through these sources only have the strength to remove surface stains.

Only a dentist can offer whitening formulas that are strong enough to remove any discoloration deep in the enamel. Our whitening systems penetrate deep below the surface enamel and eliminate the tougher, buried stains.

Our Professional Whitening Systems

KöR® Whitening Deep Bleaching™ System

KöR® Whitening (logo)KöR whitening is widely recognized as the most powerful whitening system available. KöR has different options as part of their system. You can receive in-office KöR whitening, a combination of both in-office and take-home whitening, or take-home kits only. For best results, our doctors usually recommend the combination of both in-office and take-home teeth whitening, but we can recommend the system that will be best for you.

KöR can lighten teeth 16 shades or more and is the only system that can dramatically whiten dark, tetracycline-stained teeth in a short period of time.

KöR whitening gel is refrigerated from the time it is made until the time it used. This prevents any deterioration of the gel’s strength. To keep the gel from being diluted, the bleaching trays are custom-designed to fit snugly and form a seal against saliva and other fluids. The bleaching formula causes little to no sensitivity and the treatment is comfortable.

KöR’s results are long lasting and you won’t have to give up coffee or other drinks that cause staining. A simple, periodic at-home maintenance bleaching program is all that is needed to keep your teeth bright for many years—perhaps even for life. KöR is effective and safe for anyone 14 years old and up.

Philips Zoom! Whitening

Philips Zoom! (logo)Our Zoom! in-office whitening treatment can whiten your teeth an average of eight shades in a little over an hour. Zoom! is a comfortable, safe and effective procedure that creates a long-lasting, brighter smile.

During a whitening session, Zoom! whitening gel is applied to your teeth. The gel is then activated with a low-heat Zoom! light. The light causes the gel to penetrate the enamel and dentin in your teeth to remove deep stains and discoloration.

Zoom! also offers take-home whitening treatment systems for convenient at-home use. Take-home whitening can be done by itself or as a booster to intensify the results of your in-office whitening.

The doctor will take digital impressions of your teeth and make custom-fitted whitening trays. Once you receive your trays and whitening formula, you will get full instructions on how to apply the gel and how long and often to wear the trays.
